User Guide

The Mobile Link Manager (MLM) website represents a central database of preview and purchase links for all Mobile assets relevant to Universal Music Group. The data in MLM is imported from several 3rd party sources daily.

Getting Started

To access the management area of the MLM website go to http://mlm.aspdotnetstuff.com/admin

You will be prompted to enter a username/password in a basic HTTP authentication dialogue box.

On entering the site you will be presented with the default mobile links Search form. Above this form is a short menu with two options - Artists and Search. The Search menu option is actually a link back to the default page. The Artist option links to a form for assigning Artist names present in the incoming data to Universal Groups.

Searching

The Search form is used to query the MLM database for all Mobile content where the Product Title or Artist Name matches the search term entered.

The Search works for one Group at a time. Select the Group from the Groups drop down menu.

The Search can be limited to just match Product Titles or Artist Names. The default is to search both.

The Search results can be sorted by clicking on the column headings in the results table.

Linking directly to the Search Results page

It is possible to link directly to the Search Results page, without using the the Search form described above.

To use the search results directly requires a properly formatted query string, and optionally, an XSL stylesheet. Consult the Developer Documentation for more details.
